Nissan granted $1.4 billion loan for electric car plant
Nissan will be granted a $1.4 billion dollar loan by the Department of Energy. The loan will be used by Nissan to create an incredible opportunity for many in the way of an electric car plant right here in the United States. The Smyrna Tenn., facility will be revamped in order to be capable of producing not only 150,00 models of the Nissan Leaf, but the lithium-ion batteries that power it as well.
