2012 Nissan GT-R: faster and more furious

2012 Nissan GT-R: faster and more furious

Soon in Staten Island, a new Nissan will be turning heads.  Yes, the new Nissan Juke is eye-catching and the new Nissan LEAF is intriguing thanks to its 100% EV rating, but these are not the vehicles that will be catching some extra attention on the roads in Staten Island.  New Nissan vehicles like the LEAF and the Juke don’t even come close to comparing to the statistics put up by the vehicle in question, and they certainly aren’t as fast and definitely not as furious. … Continue Reading

Nissan Xterra offers drivers a versatile SUV

For active residents of Staten Island, Nissan’s SUV model, the Xterra, is the perfect vehicle.  The mid-sized SUV gives drivers a versatile vehicle.  Its size is not inhibiting when navigating crowded city streets to get to work and to accomplish errand running.   … Continue Reading

Nissan introduces revolutionary design to commercial vehicle market

This spring, Staten Island Nissan dealers will officially enter the market for commercial vehicles (CV) in the United States.  To prepare for entering this market, Nissan has spent the last five years researching the landscape of the current market.  The automaker found the market needs a complete overhaul of the traditional CV vehicle.  With the Nissan NV, that is exactly what the foreign automaker has done. … Continue Reading

Nissan Donates to Haiti

Nissan Donates to Haiti

Everyone has heard about the devastation that hit the county of Haiti.  On January 12th, a 7.0 earthquake hit there, just outside of it’s capital, Port-au-Prince.  Hundreds of thousands of men, women and children are injured, sick, and without food, water, and clean clothes after the natural disaster hit.

The United States and many other countries around the world have rushed to this country’s aid providing monetary support, volunteer doctors and nurses, and food and water.  Nissan of North America has joined in the relief efforts too!

The staff at many dealerships across the country, including your Staten Island new Nissan store, had the chance to donate and the company would match any employee donations up to 25K!  Other donation allocations from Nissan of North America include the following:

  • $52,000 to Habitat for Humanity to rebuild 13 homes in Haiti
  • $5,000 from Nissan of Canada, Inc
  • $25,000 in cash aid from Nissan North America

It is amazing to see our country donating to other people and nations in need.  It makes me want to visit my NJ Nissan dealer soon.  I am excited about the possibility of purchasing a vehicle from a car maker who cares!

370Z Wins Best Resale Value

370Z Wins Best Resale Value

Great news arrived at your New Jersey new Nissan dealership!  Kelly Blue Book has given the Nissan 370Z the 2010 Best Resale Value Award.   KBB typically gives this award to car companies that produce quality vehicles who keep their overall value.  It appears that Kelly Blue Book is really impressed with the 370Z.   To sum up a quote from them, they said that the car is affordable, and the most fun and powerful one in it’s class.  They would be happy to drive one new or used.  It’s a good time to see what makes this Staten Island new Nissan such a great auto!

The 370Z replaced Nissan’s 350Z, although much of the shape was kept.  One cool feature are the headlights.  They have a shape similar to a boomerang.  They give the car a really sporty look.  On the rear of the 370Z, the headlights take a fishhook shape and the rear has a “stubbier” shape.

Safety feature wise, the New Jersey new Nissan has many.  One of the components to keep drivers and passengers safe during travels is a Tire Pressure Monitor System.  This is perfect for helping prevent that flat tire miles from the closest service station!  Another impressive feature is Nissan’s Vehicle Dynamic Control.  What it does in layman’s terms is help control skids/accidents by applying brake pressure to the needed wheels and controls engine power.  A sports car you can feel safe in, now that’s cool.

Engine wise, the 370Z’s engine is larger than the 350Z’s it replaced.  In fact, the same engine in the 370 is used in the Infiniti G37.  It is a 3.7 L, v6 with “variable valve timing, variable valve lift and a redline of 7,500 rpm”.  The hp of 332 is actually a bit more than the hp found in the 2010 Mustang GT.  In a sports car, the engine is definitely one of the most important of the Staten Island Nissan parts.

The 370Z has a lot of fine amenities and is a great pick if you are in the market for a sports-type car with quite a bit of power.  Visit your Staten Island new Nissan dealer now to take a test drive!

I take excellent care of my car and I am not just spouting hot air. I have spent nearly $25,000.00 on a car that cost just slightly over 15,000.00 in the 11 years that I have owned it. This car has been in a major accident (2002) where the entire front had to be reconstructed, it has taken me to nearly 200,000 miles and it still does 100 mph on the highway ( […]
